Hi! My name is Christi Weger
I'm 59 years old and have a lifelong love of animals, so much so I had the nickname of Ellie May. I was a veterinary technician for 8 years before becoming a first and second grade teacher. After 31 years of teaching I am semi retired. I work on our ranch here in Oklahoma and couldn't seem to leave education. Now I am part time employed with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma in Adult education where I am a certified Hiset and Pearson Vue Testing Administrator. In addition to Coton de Tulear we also raise champion horses and raise beef cattle.
I started breeding Cotons quite by accident. I fell in love with the breed after I was actually looking for a Havanese. I stumbled upon the Coton breed and instantly knew they were for me. My very first coton Patsy is the matriarch of my program.
Raising and training champion horses for over 35 years has set the standard for my Cotons. I believe in quality and strong genetics and I strive to raise animals with confirmation and impeccable disposition. My program is now 3rd and 4th generation so I know my Cotons inside and out. My dogs also compete in AKC competition. I currently have 1 male AKC champion and 1 male, Bar W Monte Walsh is showing at this time where he just won his first major.
Bonnie Sue
Some of our residents enjoy a life of leisure here at Bar W Ranch, including Bonnie Sue, our resident raccoon.
